The INP-ENSAT is the Engineering Faculty of Life Sciences, part of the 7 University campuses of the INSTITUT NATIONAL POLYTECHNIQUE DE TOULOUSE (INPT), founder member of the Federal University of Toulouse. It is under the authority of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research and is state-funded.
As a member of the Toulouse COMmunity of Universities and Establishments (COMUE Toulouse), the Federal University of the Toulouse Languedoc Midi-Pyrénées region contributes to and benefits from various opportunities offered, enabling mobility of students, Faculty members, joint research projects and administrative staff. The INP-ENSAT has also been a main actor in developing solid networks and partnerships with the most renowned academic, research and private institutions.
The ENSAT is the 1st French agronomy engineering faculty to have been certified ISO 14001 for its environmental approach. It has also been granted the ISO 9001 certification based on quality management on training activities and support services
Our engineering students enroll after 2 years of undergraduate study and study for 3 years at ENSAT under the French System of education framework. We welcome international students to enroll either in Degree programmes or in Exchange programmes
We will host international students who have at least a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of 3-years level of studies at university for one or two exchange semesters.
All candidates must be nominated by the international office of their home University and nominations will be addressed to the ENSAT International Office

A health insurance coverage is compulsory to study in France. If you come from European Union, request a health insurance European card before your departure. Otherwise you will be able to subscribe to a student medical coverage during the registration at ENSAT (about 200€). However, this card only begins on October 1st and a private health insurance will be required to cover any previous period to October 1st.

The ENSAT has agreements for double degrees with seven partner universities. Students will be accepted in the second year at the ENSAT (fourth-year of university level). In the third year, students choose one specialization field and follow all courses within the syllabus. After one semester at school, they go on internship placement in France or abroad. Their work is examined jointly by ENSAT and by home university coordinators as well as by the hosting internship tutors.
Successful students are awarded the ENSAT “Diplôme d’Ingénieur Agronome” as well as the degree achieved at their home university.

There are several financial instruments that allow students’ mobility :

Depending on the programme, different forms of allowances may be obtained: 1000€ for Brazil, 1300€ for Argentina, and 1500€ for Mexico. The Brazilian government may grant an additional $500 Real per month after a few steps to the local coordinator. The amounts can vary from year to year and the International Office of respective countries will provide the information upon request.

Located between the Pyrenees, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, Toulouse is the capital city of the vast Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées region and the 4th biggest city in France.
The ENSAT, located on the Agrobiopôle Toulouse-Auzeville, some 15 Kms South-East of Toulouse, not only hosts education and research institutions but also transfer organizations. Because of this perfect location, the INP-ENSAT can build good relationship with the industry.
2 sites :
The school’s main site spreads over 11500 m2 including 2800 m2 dedicated to Teaching, 4500 m2 to Research and 1000 m2 to the Learning Center. The site also hosts the Students cafeteria and offices (“Maison des étudiants”) and the University Restaurant managed by the CROUS.
The second site is the Plant Biotechnolgy Research Center based on the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique de Toulouse, also located in Auzeville Tolosane. The site spreads over 3000 m2 and is dedicated to Research laboratories, conference rooms, and practical work rooms. These amenities are shared between the INRA, the CNRS and the Paul Sabatier University research laboratories.
