The main aim of the department is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed in the field of Marketing. To meet its aims, the marketing department provides students with an academic program equivalent to those offered by most reputable universities. The program requires a successful completion of 132 credit hours divided among university, college and department requirements
Arabic Language &Literature
The Department of Arabic Language & Literature was established in 1991. Faculty memebers are highly qualified to teach all specialized courses in Arabic language and literature.
- Preparing students with high caliber to enter the labor market or join the postgraduate programs. This can not be done without empowering students with knowledge and educational skills. Hence, the department is keen on revising the study plan to include the necessary requirements.
? Paying special attention to the compulsory Arabic courses (Arabic 1 & 2) to improve students? Arabic skills at the University level.
? Improving the quality of Academic life via the participation in events, cultural and academic committees - developing students's skills:listening, speaking, reading and writing
-The department aspires to establish strong links with other academic departments within the univesity and hopes to establish contact with local institutions. The department gives priority to active [particiapation in conferences, seminars, forums which are held regularly in other academic departments. Emhasis is also placed on holding conferences and seminars within Petra campus.
-The Department of Arabic Language sends its message across various levels. The department undertakes to teach the compulsory university requirements as well as elective and free courses. The Department of Arabic prepares students who major in Arabic to fulfill the needs of the labor market as teachers, editors as well as enabling students to pursue their higher education if they wish to.
